The Marathon
La ToSCA is one of the pioneering marathons in the European tango scene. Over the years, it has become a beloved gathering for passionate dancers from all over the world. From the very beginning, our aim has been to create a warm, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere, while preserving an international spirit and ensuring a wonderful ronda on the dance floor.
Since 2016, La ToSCA has taken place at Villa Castelletti, a stunning venue nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, just a short distance from the historic centre of Florence.
The Villa’s Winter Garden is a bright and elegant hall that transforms into a magnificent ballroom, featuring 300 square metres of parquet flooring.
Its glass roof fills the space with natural light during the day and offers a magical view of the open sky, creating a truly unique atmosphere for unforgettable tandas.
What makes La ToSCA truly special is the experience on the dance floor itself. The DJ is positioned right in the centre of the ballroom, surrounded by dancers moving together in a continuous embrace of music and tango. This distinctive setup creates an extraordinary sense of connection between the DJ and the dancers, making everyone part of the same shared experience.

Venue
Villa Castelletti is situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, a few kilometers from the historical center of Florence. The Villa, one of the most striking Historical Villas in the Florentine countryside, is surrounded by its beautiful park (listed in the National Archive of Historical Heritage Sites). The marathon will take place in a wide open space (the ancient winter garden) with more than 300 SQ meters of a floating floor especially built for the event...
and with the view of the sky from the glass roof!
Signa is easily reachable from Florence and we will organize a FREE shuttle service to reach the marathon venue from the center of Signa.

Restaurant Service
We will offer a big choice of typical Italian-Tuscan dishes...
Meals will be served in the Restaurant hall during the opening time. As the past years, only for dinner time, participants will be asked to choose one of the 3 DINNER TURNS:
- T1: 7.30-8.30 pm
- T2: 8.30-9.30 pm
- T3: 9.30-10.30 pm
You are kindly requested to produce the tickets that you will receive at the registration desk.
The Sunday dinner is not included and can be reserved directly at the BAR (before h. 20.00 of Saturday)
Shuttle Service
You can use our free shuttle service to reach the marathon from Signa and vice versa, about every 30 minutes: Veterinary Square - Piazza Stazione - Stilhotel Parking - Villa Castelletti - Veterinary Square and so on....

HOTEL IL BORGO
Accommodation Near the Marathon
Hotel Il Borgo is located just 100 metres from Villa Castelletti, making it a convenient accommodation option for Marathon participants.
As the hotel has a limited number of rooms, it cannot accommodate all participants. For this reason, reservation requests will open on December and will be considered exclusively from participants officially accepted into the Marathon. Please wait until you receive your official acceptance email before contacting the hotel to request a reservation.
Please note: A minimum stay of 3 nights is mandatory, from Friday to Monday.

A free shuttle service will be activated to reach the marathon venue from the center of Signa. The shuttle will stop at Piazza Stazione, located in front of the Train Station of SIGNA (ATTENTION not "Lastra a Signa") so you can take it to reach the marathon venue (or approach your hotel).

From the Airport reach Signa Train Station: Reach Signa center using the train from Pisa Train Station;

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN SIGNA
If you arrive at the train station of Signa before the shuttle service starts, take the BUS LINE 210 towards SEANO PARCO MUSEO to reach Villa Castelletti/Hotel Il Borgo. The ticket can be purchased at the tobacconist or directly on board by credit card. The stop is opposite the entrance of hotel Il Borgo.
PARKING
If you come by car: Villa Castelletti owns a private parking area reachable from Via Castelletti 5 (HERE)
ATTENTION: the entrance from via di Castelletti 3 (HERE) is on a private street, therefore parking is not allowed!!! Be careful as parked cars can be brought by the tow truck!!!
