The Marathon
La ToSCA marathon is one of the first marathon born in the European Tango scene… In the past 11 years, our event has been chosen from a lot of great tangueros coming worldwide; our goal is to create a friendly, inclusive, welcoming atmosphere, keeping an international allure and a great ronda in the dancefloor. In 2020 it will take place the fifth edition in this amazing venue, Villa Castelletti, which is situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, a short distance from the historical center of Florence. The Villa, one of the most striking Historical Villas in the Florentine countryside, is surrounded by its magnificent park (listed in the National Archive of Historical Heritage Sites).
We will dance in the WINTER GARDEN, a beautiful and bright hall that we will transform in an amazing ballroom with 300 sq meters of laminate parquet floor... from there you can enjoy a spectacular view on the park and on the sky!
We will start to dance in the late afternoon of Friday...the Marathon will stop at 20:00 of Sunday.
The After Marathon, FREE for all participants, will take place in the same venue, on Sunday, from 21:30 to 3:00.

but there are only 20 rooms available.
- We activated agreements with hotels located in Signa and you can use our FREE Shuttle service to reach the Marathon location.

Venue
Villa Castelletti is situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, a short distance from the historical center of Florence.The Villa, one of the most striking Historical Villas in the Florentine countryside, is surrounded by its magnificent park (listed in the National Archive of Historical Heritage Sites). Wide open spaces, 300 sqmeters of great floor especially built for the Marathon, view of the sky during all day, large parking next to the Villa, Wi-Fi connection available and free of charge throughout the Villa and in the Park......

If you want to participate you have to subscribe filling the form that will be published in this page.
The contribution fee includes: Marathon + 2 Brunches + 2 Dinners + Snacks fruits and water + After Marathon entrance.

Registration is mandatory. The marathon is closed (won't be possible buy ticket for single days) and balanced.
Participants will be selected in order to keep the balance (gender/role, nationality), so the order of registration will not be strictly considered a priority in confirming participation. Only registration as single dancer is allowed.

Accommodation
​HOTEL IL BORGO (100 meters away)
The Villa Castelletti Hotel “ Il Borgo” is located at about 100 meters distance from the Villa.
As the number of rooms is small, it is currently not possible to make a reservation at this hotel. From November 30 it will be possible send your reservation request. Only requests came from MARATHON ACCEPTED PARTICIPANTS will be considered (so you have to wait the confirmation email). You can not book the room for less than 3 nights.

Villa Castelletti s located in Via di Castelletti, 5 - 50058 Signa (Firenze) - Italy
A free shuttle service will be activated to reach the marathon venue from the center of Signa. The shuttle will stop at Piazza Stazione, located in front of the Train Station of SIGNA (ATT: not "Lastra a Signa") so you can take it to reach the the hotels (Stilhotel, Eurohome and Delfina are very closed) or Villa Castelletti.

Airport of Pisa “G. Galilei” (about 70km)

1st way: Reach Signa center using the train from Pisa Train Station; You can buy your train ticket to Signa Station at the Airport Information Office (Arrivals Hall). In this case the ticket from PISA AIRPORT to SIGNA TRAIN STATION (9,70€ -1h trip) includes the "PISA MOVER TICKET" (direct metro connection from airport to the Pisa Train Station - http://pisa-mover.com/en/). For more information about Italian railway network’s train timetable and fares, please visit www.trenitalia.com. (ATTENTION: from Pisa to Florence there is another stop called "Lastra a Signa", please DO NOT STOP THERE!) .
2nd way: From the airport you can reach Florence Train Station (Santa Maria Novella) by bus transfer Caronnatour or Airport bus express (14€ - 1 hour trip) and from there take a train to Signa. Timetable: http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en
