The Marathon

La ToSCA is one of the first marathons born in the European Tango scene…Our event has been chosen by a lot of passionate dancers coming from worldwide; from the beginning, our goal has been to create a friendly, inclusive, welcoming atmosphere, keeping an international allure and a great ronda on the dancefloor.
From 2016 La Tosca takes place in Villa Castelletti, an amazing venue situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, a short distance from the historical center of Florence.
The winter garden of the Villa, is a beautiful and bright hall that will be transformed into an amazing ballroom with 300 sq meters of laminate parquet floor, and, from there, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the park and of the sky!

The 15 EDITION will take place from 7 to 9 March 2025!

Venue
Villa Castelletti is situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, a few kilometers from the historical center of Florence. The Villa, one of the most striking Historical Villas in the Florentine countryside, is surrounded by its beautiful park (listed in the National Archive of Historical Heritage Sites). The marathon will take place in a wide open space (the ancient winter garden) with more than 300 SQ meters of a floating floor especially built for the event...
and with the view of the sky from the glass roof!
Signa is easily reachable from Florence and we will organize a FREE shuttle service to reach the marathon venue from the center of Signa.

Restaurant Service
The great Chef Moreno Ianda will offer a big choice of typical Italian-Tuscan dishes...
Meals will be served in the Restaurant hall during the opening time. This year, only for dinner time, participants will be asked to choose one of the 3 DINNER TURNS:
- T1: 19.30-20.30
- T2: 20.30-21.30
- T3: 21.30-22.30
You are kindly requested to produce the tickets that you will receive at the registration desk.

The Sunday dinner is not included and can be reserved directly at the BAR (before h. 20.00 of Saturday)

Shuttle Service
​
You can use our free shuttle service to reach the marathon from Signa and vice versa, about every 30 minutes: Piazza Stazione - Stilhotel Parking - Villa Castelletti - Piazza Stazione – Stilhotel Parking - Villa Castelletti and so on.... SEE MAP

HOTEL IL BORGO
Hotel “ Il Borgo” is located about 100 meters distance from Villa Castelletti. As the number of rooms is small this hotel cannot host all the participants for this reason reservation requests will be accepted from 15th of November: only requests that came from MARATHON ACCEPTED PARTICIPANTS will be considered (so you have to wait for the confirmation email). RESERVATION IS MANDATORY FOR 3 NIGHTS (from Friday to Monday)!

How getting here
Villa Castelletti is located in Via di Castelletti, 5 - 50058 Signa (Firenze) - Italy
A free shuttle service will be activated to reach the marathon venue from the center of Signa. The shuttle will stop at Piazza Stazione, located in front of the Train Station of SIGNA (ATTENTION not "Lastra a Signa") so you can take it to reach the marathon venue (or approach your hotel).
HOW TO REACH SIGNA FROM THE AIRPORT OF FLORENCE “A. VESPUCCI” (ABOUT 10KM)
BY PUBBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
Step 1: from the Airport reach the Florence Train Station (Santa Maria Novella) using Tram Line T2 (1,50€ single ticket - 20 minutes-Stop name “Alamanni-Santa Maria Novella station”), more Tramway link (Florence airport – Florence Central train station): https://www.gestramvia.it/lines/?lang=en

HOW TO REACH SIGNA FROM THE AIRPORT OF PISA “G. GALILEI” (ABOUT 70KM)
BY PUBBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
From the Airport reach Signa Train Station: Reach Signa center using the train from Pisa Train Station;
The ticket from PISA AIRPORT to SIGNA TRAIN STATION (12,30€ -1h trip) includes the "PEOPLE MOVER TICKET" (direct metro connection from airport to the Pisa Train Station. For more information about Italian railway network’s train timetable and fares, please visit https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html

If you come by car: Villa Castelletti owns a private parking area reachable from Via Castelletti 5 (HERE)
ATTENTION: the entrance from via di Castelletti 3 (HERE) is on a private street, therefore parking is not allowed!!! Be careful as parked cars can be brought by the tow truck!!!
